Well, that last entry sure did clear things up for me. The overwhelming majority of people I’ve talked to about the plastic disc case issue seem to be regretting their decision to convert years ago. So I’m not going to do it. I’ll find a place for these babies, and soon.

Today, I continued my journey into domesticity by cooking up some fine potato-leek soup that I consumed for lunch with salads and toast. It was pretty good, though I think I chose the wrong sort of potatoes, as the soup was a little too starchy. I’m quite excited by the sudden chill in the weather. As much as I liked this summer, I’m looking forward to several months of jacket- and sweater-wearing and soup-eating and tea-drinking. And baking! Last night was my inaugural bake in the oven: after a little prep time, a nice warm loaf of banana walnut bread was cooling on the window sill.
