Two of next week’s workshop stories for my fiction class are…well, porn. One’s got a more romance novel-type feeling about it, the other makes liberal use of the internet as a foil to the plot events. Both mention erect penises in number. The funny thing is, my story — my pitiful little tale of loneliness and isolation in the suburbs (what else?!) — is set to debut right along with the racy ones.

This may cause me to turn to drink like other great literati before me.
